ABOUT TEN 21

Ten 21 Studios is owned and operated by Jon F. Merz. Jon is a working actor with roles in recent feature films like MOTHER/ANDROID and I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, as well as television shows like AMERICA’S HIDDEN STORIES and the pilot, FEDERAL HILL: THE BEGINNING. Jon’s first acting role was playing Alfred Sloan in the History Channel mini-series THE CARS THAT MADE AMERICA. Jon has also appeared in many commercials and in print as a model for Maggie Agency in Boston. As a working actor, Jon understands that self-tapes are the new normal and that not everyone has access to an appropriate setting to film in, which is why self-tape slots at Ten 21 are both convenient and affordable.

Jon is also the author of over 50 published novels. His first novel was published in 2002 and he has since written many more, including 11 bestselling installments of the Rogue Angel series for Gold Eagle/Harlequin Publishers. Jon writes in many genres like urban fantasy, thrillers, mysteries, espionage, and more. Jon additionally worked as a copywriter for a variety of companies like Tech Target, Red Lobster Restaurants, MOV3 Fitness, and others. He brings a wealth of writing experience to any job and is able to seamlessly blend the fictive world-building prowess honed over countless novels with real world marketing to produce truly compelling copy.

Prior to these careers, Jon served in the United States Air Force, worked for the US Government, and handled executive protection and sensitive corporate investigations for a number of Fortune 500 clients. A lifelong martial artist, he holds a 5th degree black belt in Togakure-ryu Ninjutsu awarded to him directly by the 34th Grandmaster in February 2003.
